quesetion re: possibility to conform from 24p to 60p for DVCPRO HD files
We are shooting with a Panasonic HVX200 and have ~3 hours of footage that was captured without the advanced pulldown feature enabled in the P2 import box.
To fix this, I mistakenly tried the Cinema Tools conform feature to “conform” the footage to 24fps. This didn’t remove the pulldown, but rather just slowed everything down, esentially stretching out time, making both my video and audio tracks unusable.
Unfortunately, there seems no way to conform the footage back to 60fps because the conform window only allows 24 and 30fps conversions. I need a 60fps conform technique. Is there a way to fix the footage?

Tell us what you shot for frame rates and frame size as we have no idea where or how you (or IF) there is something wrong.
First –there is NO advanced pulldown in 60p – 60i, yes — but not in 720p60 advanced pulldown is only available in the interlaced formats.
This is not a conform issues but a place where you should use the Software Frame Rate Converter ( availoable on the 5.1 update) or on the P2 support page for earlier versions of FCP. The CT conform did just what is was supposed to do.

Thanks for the reply.
We shot with DVCPRO HD 720p24 with the HVX200. We went straight into the fIrestore FS-100, direct to disk recorder.
I believe the footage came in as DVCPRO HD 720, but at a recording frame rate of 60. Even though our frame rate format is at 24p. When we import the files through the Import P2 field in FCP, there is an option to check the remove advanced pulldown / duplicated frames to “transcode” the files back down to a 24p clip.
However, that was not done on our last import and we ended up having 720p60 clips rather than 720p24. And, mistakenly, instead of running a reverse telecine that would take out the extra frames, a conform to 23.98 was done. This resampled the frame rate of the clips, resulting in “overcranked” slow motion clips (similar to film, where you would record at 60fps but project at 24fps).
We would like to reverse this conform process and have the clip turn back into its original state of 720p60. Of course, the best would be for us to be able to force an advanced pulldown to the clips to turn them into 24p clips so we can edit them on the same timeline too. But, we would be very satisified in just having the original 720p60 master clips back too.
Any suggestions?
