Text in After affects 7 has become blurred on the Tv screen,looks fine on the monitor. Tried all sorts of stuff, Anti-flicker, sharpen, Broadcast colors, 8bpc to 16bpc in project settings.. but still have this ugly text bleeding hoizonally on a black stroked edge with purple filler. PS I can’t use open gl with this system. Any clues?

What are you using to output to a TV? And what sort of ‘TV’ are you using? Anything going down firewire or a composite signal to a normal domestic TV is going to make type look awful.
A capture card like a Blackmagic Decklink or AJA card going component or SDI to somesort of secondhad broadcast monitor is your best bet. Either that or HMDI to a decent LCD or plasma.
Also – did you say the text is purple on black? Not a good colour combination – if it’s quite a vivid purple or reddish then a TV tube will struggle with it. Best to desaturate colours or choose different ones wherever possible.
