    I’m editing on Final Cut Pro 4.5, G4 1gRAM.

I’ve got footage that was unidentified (24p,29.97) … Now i captured it as 29.97 NTSC. When playing back the footage through a reference monitor, it looks muddy, there are jumps in the motion, small diagonal lines (like a “reduced” zebra pattern, and the aspect on the reference monitor is slightly diagonal and changed as well.

On the camera or through the camera, the footage, though badly taken, does not have these strange issues. We’ve tried changing our system settings for pulldown, and advanced pulldown. Monkeyed with the sequence settings (progressive, 720:480/640:480). And pulled out a great deal of hair (some of which wasn’t our own).

    Anyone have any advice???
