Quality issues when viewing rendered videos on smart phones over wireless networks.
I am having issues in getting good quality videos on smart phones over mobile networks via youtube. I am shooting with 5D MKiii editing on CS6. When connected to wifi or viewing from computer the quality is fine. Over 60% of my youtube views are from smart phone devices and lately I’ve been getting complaints that my videos are not HD which in fact they are it’s just that they do not maintain quality on smartphones via networks. I’ve viewed many videos on my iphone5 over the att network that look great as soon as I press play so I know their is a solution. I have spent countless hours reading about different render settings, I’ve tried hight bit rate h.264, pro ress hq, DNxHD, uncompressed yup 8 and 10 bit, I even exported quick time with no codec and used the youtube settings in compressed 4.1.1. I’ve conducted these test on unedited clips and edited clips with effects. I tried bypassing my wireless router and connecting via cat5 cable. I’ve used a friends pc with cs6, I even had the same issue with 4k wide red footage. This is becoming a huge issue for me and I’m loosing a lot of business to the competition, and my buz has all but disappeared. I’ve attached a screen shot from my phone to display the issue and a link of the same clip to show the difference between computer and phone. I will provide and and all information need to anyone who is truing to help me. Thanks in advanced!!!
