Quality is reduced when I export
I exported footage in Final Cut Pro, using File>Export>Quicktime Movie. When I import into AE and apply effects and then render out to folder the quality is reduced, the file size is reduced. I’m new to AE. Thanks!

This is a common problem, and the answer is to export as animation quicktime. It is a large video file, but keeps the quality nice. Also when you bring it back into Final Cut just match your sequence settings. Remember Final Cut is an open sequence, so it can handle different video types in one sequence.

Use Composition>Make Movie instead of File>Export. Read up on the Render Queue in the Help. In general, only use Export if you have to render to a non-Quicktime format.
Leave Render Settings at Best for most renders.
Choose an Output Module (or make one) for what you need. In general, you’ll just have to choose a codec (look for “format” and “options”) in the Output Module. -
Thanks! Do you know of a plug-in that allows export from FCP to AE? Like Apple has for Motion and Shake?
