QT wont open Avid exported files
When I try to open a QT that was exported from Avid (1920×1080 DNXHD145) it will either never open; keeps saying “loading” or if it does it looks like every other scan line is missing. VLC opens the files fine as does QT on other systems. Avid is installed on the sytem so the codecs are there. Any thoughts?

You may have an old version of the avid codec installed. Avid made some major changes to make it smpte compliant. Download and install the latest and see if it fixes the problem.

I don’t think that is it. The codecs where installed when 5.5.1 was installed. It is a brand new system and had no other Avid codecs installed.

Did you try re-importing that QT back into Avid to check it?

Or try playing in Quicktime 7 instead of Quicktime X?
