QT renders so slowly………… Vegas 8
I have clients that need QT files from me. I can’t believe how slowly QT renders in Vegas compared to other formats.
I have also noticed in 8.0c the “approximate time left” on the renders is constantly resetting. I didn’t notice that in other versions of Vegas.

In general Quicktime does everything slower on a PC because it is optimized for a Mac. 🙁

What are you encoding from/to? In Vegas whether I’m using an AVI or MOV file, I always encode using the Motion Jpeg option and it doesn’t go all that slow. I get a great video and it plays fine on my MacBook Pro.

I’m rendering from MXF (1080p) to MOV. I just tried the mjpeg video format and it is much faster. It is 5 to 1. Not fast, but much better. I Thanks for the info.
