  QT reference movie for Composer – NDF/DF and 23.98/29.97

  Hello,

  I need to provide a reference QT file with window burn to a composer so he can score the project. The project was shot and edited at 23.98. Are there any problems with just nesting the sequence, and putting the t/c generator filter on the nest? A couple of questions:

  1. Should I use non drop frame for the composer? (since that keeps absolute time?)

  2. Should I provide this to composer at 29.97 (from a quick search on the cow, the only references to this issue deals with some composers having problems with 23.98 frame rates.)

  Via the director, I’ve asked the composer if he has a preference, but haven’t heard back from him (and it could be he doesn’t know).

  Any suggestions would be great!
