QT Reference File Identification
Wonder if anyone can help…..
I need to be able to correctly identify a QT Reference File as opposed to a complete QT File. Is there any information for instance in the header of the file that can be parsed allowing this to occur by an automated process?

yes there is, but that info would need to be able to be determined by the softwares capabilities.
More often than not it is easier to handle the file size- since most QT Ref files are quite small occupying only one buffer segment for the link and for RED camera proxies they are usually less than 100K for instance.
