  • QT miscounting number of chapter markers on export/DVD SP

Hi. This forum rules! According to all the great advice on here, I have placed my chapter markers correctly (green/timeline placement, naming Chapters). However, upon QT export, in choosing “include Chapter Markers” Quicktime states the number of chapters as “2” when I have 3. None of them are less than 1 second from the beginning or end. Any ideas? They seem to only list even numbers in the drop down so that could be an issue.

Also, when I got this into DVD SP, there were suddenly 4 Chapters and numbers were messed up. But it said there was no starter Chapter and it won’t start at the menu. This has never happened before. Something’s fishy.

    Thanks, Marj

I am not sure about QT player, but in DVDSP, each new track gets a default marker at the very start for default connections to menus. I just tested a few chapter markers and exported and it was fine in QT player. I would check your markers to make sure they are all set as CHAPTER…don’t really know what all is going on. good luck.
