I’m working on some flash animation that i’m bringing into FCP as a Quicktime. I’m working 24fps in flash and FCP because i’m having this project scanned to film. I’m having a problem maintaining the 24fps. My Quicktimes automatically convert to 25fps. Can anyone help? Also It’s really hard to edit the QT’s the will play once then they act as if they are stills. Has anyone ever encountered this?

I was told to make my flash files 1828 X 985 for the 1:85 aspect ratio. in my sequence settings i am confused as to what settings to use because when i type in these settings it turns to custom and my QT’s are not wide enough in my canvas. Last question…what pixel aspect ratio should i be using???? Any other settings help would be appreciated!

    much Thanks in advance!!!!

also is there a better way to bring flash files into fcp to avoid raterizing?

First off, you should speak with your lab to find out what they recommend in terms of horizontal & vertical resolution and conform your output from Flash to that. 2nd, if you’re not using an ‘easy setup’, well then, yes, it’s a custom setting. What pixel aspect ratio did you use when you rendered out of Flash? You should use the same PAR in your sequence. FCP may be adjusting the ratio to display out to your video monitor, but that may not be effecting the actual output to disk. You can open the files in Quictime to check them. I don’t know why your files are importing as 25fps. If you can’t change that in the attributes, then there may be an issue with how you rendered out of Flash.
