QT fps not matching up with fps in FCP
Hi all,
I have a very weird bug where a QT file, in ProRes 1280x720P 26.47fps (from QT inspector, which is bizarre because I asked to render out to 23.97, but I know the QT inspector is notoriously unreliable), but regardless, the file plays out fine in QT, at the right speed and looks good.
When I import this file into FCP, and check the item properties, FCP sees it 10fps! FCP keeps the exact same lenght for the clip, 8:37, but clips off the remainder of the file because it plays it at a much slower speed.
This is very strange. I can drop it on the timeline, no red bars as I am in a ProRes 720p project, but it plays back much, much slower than it’s supposed to, and only the video is affected, the audio plays back at a normal speed, but like I said, the entire clip is cut short.
I am using FCP 7.02 and QT 10.0
I am at a loss as of what to do, so any ideas would be very welcomed.
Thank you,
Yves
