QT Export wrong format
Editing Avid MC5 on PC. All video, digitized, Imported and AMA linked plays in timeline – in fact the AMA linked footage from FLIP Cam plays in QT Player. However, when I export to QT,the AMA linked footage shows up as “wrong format” in the QT player. Must I transcode or video mixdown before exporting? Is the AMA link function just allowing me to edit quickly but then I must convert to Avid OMF or MXF before exporting? Thanks.

you shouldn’t have to do a video mixdown before exporting, what export settings are you using? dop you have the correct codecs for your Quicktime application?
