QT DV Export needs rendering in FCP
I often use QT Movie trailers in FCP. I open them in QTPro and then export them as a letterboxed DV streams at 29.97 48.000khz, but Final Cut ALWAYS wants to render them.
My FCP timeline is set to 29.97 48khz 16-bit. -

Does the same thing happen when in QTPro u export to movie using the DV-NTSC settings?

just because your frame rate and audio match up douse not meen that the video settings match the timeline setting, if your time line is set yo DV NTSC and you have converted the video to say a h264, or animation codec it will need to be rendered.
