QT compression with Cleaner – Only distortion on Fade-up
This has been something that has been coming up for some time, but not sure if it is inherent in QT or a setting issue. Out of FCP been doing compressions with Cleaner6 – QT and WMV. In QT, no matter what level of quality I always seem to get distortion on the fade up. (not so with my WMV compressions) The rest of the compression looks good, but it is very ragged on the fade up. I am usually doing 15 or 20 frame fade-ups. Any thoughts?

What do you mean by distortion?
What Quicktime CODEC are you using?
What settings (datarate and keyframes) are you using?
