QT 7 Problems with AE 6.5
Has anyone had this problem? I downloaded QT 7. It worked fine.
But when I went into After Effects if I tried to Save a project or import a file the program shut down. I mean closed! No apologies no nuthin. It took a while to trace the problem to QT but when I finally uninstalled it the problem was gone!. I even tried reinstalling AE and it didn’t help. I’m using dual Athlon 1900 with XP Pro SP2. I’m back to QT 6.5.1 and everything is fine.

There are a few problems with QT 7. Going back to QT 6.5 will solve them, as far as I’ve read.
I’m still on 6.5.

Yes but I was looking forward to playing with H264. Oh, well.

No, I know, but my machine is the only one I can do any animation or editing on. My other machines are old and slowwww. And if there is a significant problem with QT 7 then it should be addressed. I mean is it my configuration of hardware? or is it the Athlon? or what?
