    Hi!

I’m currently trying to create a gridded comp, with indivudal square pieces that will shift a few times (think like a jig-saw puzzles) and end up with the picture assembled.

I found that using the script, “Slicer” works great to slice up my comp in the rows and columns, but what I wanted to know, is there a plugin or script to automate the shifts of each square, or is this something that would best be done by hand?

I cannot think of a better way to do it than by hand.

You may be able to set up some simple expression controls to aid your animation… but beyond that I think it would take one hell of a script.

And I know of no plugins for that.

    My 2 cents

    Hey Mathew.

Thanks for getting back. Appreciate your time. Yah, I feel doing this by hand would just be the best way after having the sections sliced evenly. Fortunately we didn’t have time to fit this animation into the piece, so it got cut, but I’m still curious to try.

    Best,
    Michael
