    Hello,

i am using final cut pro to edit my stopframe animations. when i am importing all my photos on the timeline it makes them 10 seconds each. Even when I change the duration of them (highlight all of them, control click, durationsetting) it only enables me to have each still a minimum of 2.11 seconds. Isnt that weird? can i get it to be less than this?
has anyone experienced anything similar to this???

by the way i still have fcp5… time to upgrade soon….

(also if there are any animators around here who do stop frame — i m wondering is fcp really the right software to use in the beginning stages of collecting all the photos to make a movie file anyway…??!)

thanks so much for your time,
    J

Option 1: In FCP change your USER PREFERENCES…EDITING tab. Change the STILL/FREEZE FRAME DURATION to 1 frame.

Option 2. Open up QT, and then IMPORT>IMAGE SEQUENCE. Choose the first file and choose the frame rate you desire. QT will now import all the stills, in order…and then you can export a QT movie from that.
