  • Putting images in Drop Zones In Master Templates/3D text Projects

Posted by Phil Vardalos on May 14, 2008 at 12:58 am

I seem to be missing something as when I try to drop an image into one of the Drop Zones in the Master Templates/3D Text Projects, it dosent work. I started by loading a pre-made 3D text project, the Atom Strand HD, into Viwer. The easy part was puting the text in. After doing so I tryed bringing in a still photo from the browser, then droping it into the Drop Zone in the video viewer, no luck, then I tryed bringing the same still photo from the browser and droping it into the Drop Zone in the controls viewer. Is there a trick to this, it’s got me stumped. I just want to put still pictures or video in these Drop Zones. Anyone with a suggestion?

    Might be your workflow.
Try this: load the generator into the timeline, then double click, then add the images to the image wells in the Viewer. I have used this template before, but with video, not photos. Worked great.

    Hey Kevin –

I’ve been editing with fcp for about a year and am picking it up very well. however, there is one thing that i cannot figure out: how can i remove the drop zone arrows that appear when i play it? i don’t have any images that i want to use in my opening credits and cannot get rid of the white arrows. I exported to quicktime and the arrows were still there.

    Thanks.

Hey, Mark, I’m having the same problem. Did you ever find a solution? Is there a way to remove the drop boxes?
