purple screen
when i try to import a video the color changes to purple
and the screen splits so that the left side of the screen plays on the left. -

What codec does the video use? You may need to convert to another format. OR make sure that your display is set to 24 or 32 bit color.
You can try the “don’t use texture RAM…” option in the OpenGL page of the preferences, but I don’t think that will help this.
