It appears that the puppet tool doesn’t work with 3D layers which are continuously rasterized when there is camera motion.

I’ve tried every combination I can think of to make it work, anyway: I hoping someone has some idea I don’t.

Precomposed layers which aren’t themselves CRed, don’t CR in the parent comp, but blur out (because it’s now rasterized in the precomp).

And otherwise, the mesh does not move along with the layer in a camera move, so the layer chops off at the mesh edges. (It’s “parented” to the frame and not the layer – the mesh stays in the same place in the frame, though the layer has moved.)

Is there any solution for this?

    Thanks

I do have the same Problem. It looks like the mesh of the puppet tool is not in the correct space. I built a 3d Comp and a Camera. If i am moving the camera, the puppet mesh stays relativly to the camera but not to the object, where it was casted on in the first place.

Precomping is the last way* i want to go. Rasterisation and also bringing all my keyframes away from my main comp is not optimal.

Is there any solution to this? – thx

*thats what i am doing right now.
