Is there a way to pull multiple pieces out of the same piece of footage without moving them into a sequence?

I imported my footage, I moved it over to the source window where I can set my in points and out points, and I can move the piece into the sequence. What if I want to pull a 2nd segment from this footage and are not ready to clutter up the sequence window.

So I am trying to take big pieces of footage, and pull smaller clips out of them, and retain those small clips in the bin structure. So that I can pull ALL my smaller clips from my multiple longer shots, and then begin sequencing once I have everything?
