Pulldown Removal from D5 using Premiere
We have D5 59.94i 1080 masters that have regular, (no cadence breaks) pulldown in them which we want to remove on capture rather than having to use after effects. Using Premiere Pro 2.0 and the 5.6 drivers what settings do I choose to do this?
I appreciate that we will probably need to play with the A frame setting in the decklink control panel but cannot capture a 23.976fps clip no matter what I try. I was able to get almost there using Final Cut Pro from dBeta a while ago (ie could capture a 23.98 clip from 29.97 but pulldown was incorrectly removed despite trying every possible in point).
When we select a 23.976 preset we get no video input, when we choose 29.97 or 59.94 we see video but can only capture it at 29.97. What do we need to do to use this feature, cannot find anything in the documentation. I’m sure there are plenty of others who would like to do this too, I love after effects but we don’t have space for two copies of each grab, plus batching HD files in it is really slow.
All input is appreciated but please no “do it on the mac” answers, for this application we need to use windows boxes.
Thanks,
Glenn Stewart
