PSD/TIFF file disappears after rendering
Hi (imagine a defeated voice… :(,
I am trying to figure something out, which is very strange… this has never happened to me before and the only post I could find on google was of course from Creative Cow, but then they had managed to solve the problem… I am really at a loss.So, I have a HDV project which has PSD images in it. Before I render them, they look fine, after I render them – they disappear. I tried deleting them from the timeline, and inserting them again – no luck. I tried exporting them with a different format from Photoshop (PNG) also, no luck.
The funniest thing is that the first PSD image in the FCP sequence is fine (also after rendering), but the next ones just disappear.Here are my tech details –
FCP 6.0.5
Photoshop 10.0.1MacBook Pro 10.4.11
2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB memory, 667 MHzPlease…help!

They are RGB…. Any other suggestions?

If, by any chance, the graphics are done in Photoshop in a PC, you need to open and save them with your Mac.
No other suggestion.

I don’t know if this will help, but I had the same problem on a MacBook Pro and I fixed it by going into Settings, Render Control and then changing the Codec from Same as Sequence to Apple Pro Res 422.
