I have a simple smart object in PS. In AI, I set the colour. But in PS it is different. Obviously it is a colour space issue. More annoyingly, 4 months ago I knew where to look to see what is going on. But now I’ve forgotten. How and where can I see the details of what is going on? Thanks!

Are you using RGB or CMYK!?
In illustrator go to File>document color mode, Chose RGB.
Then select everything with Ctrl+A, then Edit>edit colors> convert to RGB.

    Try if that helps.

Those were my settings in AI. My working space for RGB in PS is sRGB IEC61966-2.1

What seems to fix things is when I turn off the color management policies for RGB in PS.

What I don’t understand is why the other two options give different results: preserve embedded profiles and convert to RGB.

Why does it change with those other options?????????

    Thanks.

SO, for example, Convert to Working RBG AND Preserve Embedded Profiles both change c99fb8 to c89fb8

It would seem to me that everything is as RBG as it can get. Why should either of those change the hex??????
