ProRes offline – DPX online, questions

Anyone have thoughts about this workflow:
I have a bunch of (2048×1256, 24fps) material, in DPX, in 10 giant folders. I have ‘offline’ versions of these DPX folders as ProRes4444, from the DPX, exported from DaVinci Resolve.
Because of a saga (it’s a long story), I have a cut of the ProRes in FCP. I want to generate an EDL from FCP, use it in Resolve, conform and grade the DPX, deliver it and make a DCP – and be done with it!
The first thing I notice is that FCP sees NO Reel Numbers for the ProRes .movs, and errors when I export the EDL, saying something about Reel numbers.
Does anybody have some workflow bullet points for me, things to do and check on this?
