    Hi all,
I’ve been asked to export a ProRes QT as with the following audio specs:

    48khz, 24bit/16bit
    A1&2: Full Stereo Mix
    A3&4: Dialogue
    A5&6: Narration
    A7&8: Effects
    A9&10: Music

I know how to do this from FCP and I’m sure I’ve done an 8 track export at some point from Avid but 10 is a head scratcher!!
Delivery Monday so if anyone can shed some light on this then that would be awesome!

    Thanks in advance!

In the export interface navigate to the audio tab and select “DIRECT OUT”.

This will export your sequence as it is configured.

The only catch for DIRECT OUT to work is that all of the footage needs to be uniform in the same codec. If you have mixed codecs but are happy with the resolution of each file, you can perform a video mixdown in order to allow the DIRECT OUT option to work.

Hi, thanks for your reply but I’ve done a video mixdown to prores hq and direct out in the export settings is greyed out?
