[Frank Gothmann] “Can give it a shot. Any specific size/frame rate you want me to try?”

Any standard broadcast size/rate will do.

Did a quick test with a PAL SD file. Works fine on a KiPro Rack.

    Nice one.

    Thanks!

Thanks to both Frank and Walter. Glad to hear it works in AME. I was wondering, Walter, whether indeed this is a better implementation of the DNxHD codec. You’re right about ghastly – every time I’ve tried to call up the preferences interface in AE, it shows up way at the top of the screen, cut off, and difficult to choose options from. Hopefully, this might present a better GUI to the user.

It is available in all of Adobe CC apps that I have on my system for export. Here is what the file looks like when opened on OS X using MediaInfo:

You should change the audio to 48k! 😉

Perhaps, but it was for my kid to play off his thumbdrive at school. Wanted to make it as playable as I could. And for dialog only… eh.

My experience with 44.1Khz exports from video makes the audio appear out of sync. I have plenty of instances where a client complains that the audio is out of sync and the only change I make is to render it out at 48Khz and they say that fixed it.

Good to know, thanks. I got lucky with this one.

Since Resolve uses its own QT interface, it’s up to Blackmagic to support third party codecs.
