    Hello,
I’m having an issue with vector paint in AE (CS6) and rendering out Prores 4444 where the resultant Quicktime shows effects not visible or even existing in AE.

Basically I’m using Paint to ‘write on’ a stoke. The brush is non-feathered (100% hardness) so it’s a solid stroke and there’s no ‘spray’. Now rendering ProRes 422 works fine, but I also need to render out 4444 with an alpha. However, this seems to introduce noise around the edges of my brushes, which coincidentally looks like a soft brush has been used although I know for definite it’s not that as it ‘boils’.

Quicktime (7 and 10) dislpays the problem as does FCP.

    Thanks in advance.

    Andrew

Are you rendering with a straight or premultiplied alpha channel?

It is easier to destroy than to create.
    More fun, too.
