ProRes 422 opens in QT but can’t be dropped on Vegas9
More weird ProRes issues.
Running Vegas 9(e) and QT 7.6.6
Have a 80G Pro Res 422
1920×1080
ACC, Stereo (L,R) 44,100 HZ
Data Rate 107.88mbits/secFile opens in QT on teh machine with Vegas 9 but when I try to drop the file into Vegas I get an error message that says “None of the files dropped on Vegas could be opened.”
I though the “rule of thumb was if Vegas and QT were on the same machine and QT could open the mov file, then so could Vegas?
Can someone shed some lite on this?

Partial answer, still partial problem.
Was dropping from external drive. When moved media to HHD on machine
was able to drop the media into Vegas….HOWEVER, video is fine but the sound drops out just before the 01:00:00:00 mark. Tried dropping/importing multiple times and same result – audio disappears on audio tracks in Vegas at the hour mark each time.FYI there is an hour and 41 mins of footage and sound. Sound plays all the way through on QT on the same machine as Vegas. No clue what is the issue.
