Posted this in Basics a couple of days back with no reply. Maybe better here.

Been editing a long while but I’m a recent convert to Premiere, still a few bumps in workflow. I transcoded to ProRes 422 1080i 25 in Prelude without thinking for my first few cards before realizing and transcodeing the rest to 1080p 25. (no 50i choice caught me out)
I’ve read 25i are duped frames. Should I re-transcode the first 3 cards. I can’t seem to find much difference between the 25 interlaced or 25 progressive. Will it cause me headaches down the line?
(Just in case someone asks why I’m using ProRes rather than native – I have Drone 4k footage, DSLR, HDV converted to ProRes, a field trap camera, canon MXF and GoPro – so I decided to go for my one tried and true codec.)
    cheers
