I just got a Western Digital Sata drive (400GB) to install in my powermac G5 (dual 1.8ghz / 4BG RAM) in order to edit off of as opposed to the external lacie drives I had been using.

The drive did have an image (OS) on it which i dont need so i want to put it in my tower use disk utility to erase and format it properly to be used as a 2nd internal drive for editing off of as I emtnioned.

Can you knowledgeable guys explain to how best to set this drive up?

    thank you

    Lisa

All drives on a Mac should be Mac Extended. Choose the not journaled option for Media drives.
