I need to export a clip for HDPRO 720p 24fps to NTSC DV. (the rest of my footage is NTSC DV) I tried to do a common export/down convert into 4:3. I have the aspect ration, but the subject is very tall. I them tried to export in 16:9 NTSC DV, but FCP want to letter box the clip. Is there a way I can export so I will have 4:3 with the video in proper 4:3 proportions? Do I have to a setting in compressor? OR are there any tricks of cropping then down converting? Or my final question….will I have to live with the letter boxed down converted image and letterbox my existing NTSC footage.
