    Good day guys,

I’m working on a scene that consists of 2D photograph cutouts of a vehicle, and my goal is to make give a very slight rotation of the vehicle in C4D to make the still 2D photo cutouts look a bit 3D, as though its a 3D model. I know there is a technique to project a 2D image onto a simple 3D model and/or basic geometry, what is the best way to go about that? Are there any good tutorials offhand you might be able to point me to that illustrate best how to pull this off?

Particularly wondering how detailed the geometry for the vehicle must be in order for it to look good…if it could be pulled off with very simple geometry, or if I would need to attain accurate 3D models of the particular vehicle.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer some insight…..
    Eric

Camera Mapping is what you want (or are thinking about) I think, which has the Projection Man manager to make it easier. Just hunt for Projection Man in the help, and the help has a projection man tutorial in the tutorials section “Tutorials/Materials & Texturing Tutorial/Basic Surface Properties/Assigning and Projecting Materials/Projection Man” at least in R18 anyway…
