project wrap up workflow the basics
Greetings,
Thanks in advance for any help.
Creating work for client– 2 camera 30 min dance project shot in 30fps– it is in a basic dv ntsc sequence– (read great thread about video shot in 30fps being easily worked with in 29.97 sequence here on cow).
Just wondering what the best wrap-up workflow is– they want me to make a dvd for them. What is the standard procedure? I’m asking on FCP basics because I am worried this is a really elementary question. My plan is to:
Lay off a final edit just on mini dv master tape in standard dv ntsc format, provide idvd or dvd studio pro mpegs, provide self contained quicktime on disk, and one dvd? I am on the latest mbp.
1. if they have an older version of imovie or dvd studio pro will they be able to use the mpegs I created in dvd studio pro 4 to burn additional dvds?
2. if they burn straight from the dvd itself in a duplicator– how much quality loss will they experience?
3. what is the highest resolution self contained quicktime I can provide to them if I do not have blackmagic? and is this standard when a project is finished to give them a qt?
thanks for any help.
