In short… I have a client that I edit for. We have identical systems and versions of FC (HD VERSION)
He sends me an external drive, with mirrored media at his shop.

    I edit….

then upload the PROJECT file to a server

he dowloads… reconnects… then lays off.

Simple process. Untill today. In one segment on the master time line of the project, there is one video clip that has gotten corrupt. It split the audio track out of sync.. then duplicated itself on the audio track.

The rest of the timeline was fine.

    suggestions?

    Hi Matt:
Rebuild the directories of the external drive.

If you edit and he lays it off to tape, maybe a simple work-around for this problem is to just send him a .mov file of your timeline. Of course, export as the codec that corresponds to your timeline.

    [Matt Gold] “suggestions?”

Have your colleague trash all the audio render files and try again.
