  Project size – how big before corruption / won’t open ?

  I’m working in Motion 3 with ProRes 422 HQ footage. I have around 8 video tracks that all need masking and tracking.

  I noticed the project size was getting pretty big – 94MBs right now. I’m around a quater done.

  How big can the project get before it goes corrupt or doesn’t open? I know this can happen with FCP projects. Any other issues?

  What are solutions to avoid this?

  I would hate to break the project apart, but would a solution be to export the components from Motion with an alpha channel and reassemble in FCP? Any other ideas if this is a problem?
