While working on a project I recieved a message that says–

Disk I/O error. Save and restart your computer

    OP code: 8
    er code: -36

    Any ideas?????

When I open this project after shut down it locks because the program is stuck at the problem area. If I could get it to start anywhere else in the timeline I think I could cut the end of the program off and be jsut fine.

You most likely have a bad render file on your HD. Sort your files on your media drive by creation time and look if you have a new render file in your media folder. If yes, open it in QuickTime player and have a look if it seems to be okay. If not, delete it.

If this does not work, you can open up your timeline with your media files offline (e.g. with your media RAID turned off, or with a new project with Relink Media turned off in the prefs). Then move the CTI to a different position on your timeline, save and quit, take your media back online and reopen your project.
