    Hi,
I’m working on a project with a clip that involves a person walking down a tunnel. I hope to use AE to “project” another clip onto the walls of the tunnel. While I’m sure this is nothing unusual, I’m so new to AE that I’m not even sure what terms search for in the hopes of finding a tutorial. Can someone steer me in the right direction?

    thanks,
    Dan

The trouble with AE is that it doesn’t do true 3D. As such, curved tunnel walls are hard to do. There are a couple of workarounds, but you’re probably looking at pre-comping the keyed greenscreen footage, followed by using Zaxwerks Invigorator and using that pre-comp as a reflection material. You’ll have to play around with this a lot to get the look right.

If you check out the cow tutorials you’ll find a good tut on making a tunnel and also a number on how to use Zaxwerks.

You could also try the CC Cylinder effect and rotate it. I know I’ve done a cylinder of just graphics I created in Photoshop with a person keyed out in the middle of the cylinder.
