If I buy the WD media player how to get a blue ray render to save to hard drive as a TS folder, given that you noted earlier the “The WD HD Media Player will not play .iso files but it loves .TS and .m2t, .mts, etc files”. Does seem like the way to go.
In any event, I feel very confident that I won’t loose any of the work I have done thanks to your rather patient help.

You can just render to HDV (.m2t) or AVCHD (.m2ts) and the WD TV HD Media Player will play them. If you use one of the Blu-ray templates just make sure that you enable Audio because those templates assume you will render your audio separately as AC3 which won’t work with the media player. You must have both in one file.

Thanks to all of your help I have a perfect 3.25 hour movie with voice and music on a dual layer bd that plays fine.But I need help with a copy.
I used Nero 8, drug the .iso file vegas left behind into nero’s burn and only got a copy of the file, not another burn of my of my original movie.
How do I burn a copy of my movie using the iso file?? desperate.

Ed, I don’t use Nero so I can’t tell you why it doesn’t understand how to burn a simple .iso file. I use the free ImgBurn program and it burns .iso files to disc just fine. Try it and see.

You know, I looked at what is on the bd disc and it is an iso file but I must be missing something.
I assumed that if I moved the .iso file into nero (will now get the imgburn) that what I would see when playing that disc was my movie copy. Instead I see only the file icon. The file does have 25000 mb of data attached though but again thought I would just get a copy of the movie. That’s all I want.I keep seeing the term “mount an iso file”, am I failing to do this somehow?
No more long films for me, this took 35 hours to render, like having a baby.

What you did was burned the file to the disc instead of burning the image. You have to tell Nero that you want to burn an image, then it will prompt you for the file that contains the image and it will expand that into the disc image. You probably said that you wanted to create a data disc and so Nero though that was a data file. Somewhere in the menus there must be a way to tell it to burn an image. As I said, I don’t use Nero but it will be obvious what to do with ImgBurn.

yes, thanks I see that now. Have never used .iso before.Img burn is just great, compared to that bulky Nero.
When I burn the image do I need to do anything special for the audio content??

The .iso files are an image of the Blu-ray disc both video and audio. There is nothing else to do but burn the image. I stopped using Nero a while ago because of all the bloatware. ImgBurn is lean and mean (and free). 😉

Just one last item.Now that I have the .iso file, can I safely delete all files in vegas relating to this project and clean up a bit?
