Hi I’ve been working on a PP project for a few days.

    It crashed today and said:
“Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project.”

Now if I try to reopen it I get this error message immediately and can’t even get into the project.

However I can open other projects.

I tried trashing preferences and cache. Any insight/help?

    Thanks in advance

The project is corrupt. Try to open an earlier version prior to the crash from your Auto Save folder.

Thank you. Just tried all previous versions from Autosave and same problem. Is it hopeless or are there other possibilities?

Like in Pro Tools if I have a session issue, I can create a new session and then import all the data from the corrupt one. Anything like this?

Open a new, fresh project. Then import the sequences, bins, etc into it from the corrupt project using media browser. Good luck. It has been known to rescue assets from a corrupt project.

    Kindest regards,
