  • Progressive footage showing interlacing artifacts?

    Hi all,
I’ve received 5D footage converted to ProResHQ. When I open the footage anywhere besides Resolve, it looks fine, but when I open in resolve, it looks like it’s trying to show interlaced footage (pictured below). I don’t see any options to deal with field dominance anywhere. Can somebody help?

    Thanks,
    Justin

There are might be multiple reasons for what you are seeing. 1- the way footage was actually converted. What was used to do so? How does it show up in Resolve? What frame rate? Is it goes same frame rate as expected? If you bring in the original doesn’t behave the same way? 2- Do you have field processing turned on in the project settings? It shouldn’t be on for progressive footage. 3- check clip attributes (right click on a clip in the media pool) does the framer are field dominance setting make sense?
