    This kind of extends across FCP, compressor, and DVDSP;

    I’m just edited a simple corporate video with power point slides I’ve exported from microsoft ppt as pngs (resized in photoshop to 720×480. I’ve them and DV video into a fcp sequence with pixel settings of 601/DV and no field order. The sequence looks fine in fcp monitors and progressive external monitors as expected. But after burning to dvd (I’m using the fast encode 120 min) in compressor and then muxing and formatting in DVDSP, my client claims they can still see the image flutter (interlacing fields) on the dvd segment when played thru a pc based dvd player.

    Ultimately, they want to make flash movies. But for now can someone give me a ‘crash’ course in delivering a progressive sequence all the way to dvd so it’s both mac and pc friendly? Any tips about encoding to flash with the same success would also be great. Thanks!

    Make sure the your output fields are set to ‘progressive’ in compressor, and also make sure that your exported movie is set to progressive in the inspector. Sometimes Compressor will guess wrong and think your footage in lower field first.
