Activity Forums VEGAS Pro Program keeps freezing

I have had Vegas Pro 8 for a while, but while I was trying to edit a new video, it stopped working. It works for a bit. When I’m trying to watch the video play, the screen goes black and when I click the pause button it stops responding. I have no idea why. I do get a message when the program is loading, mentioning something about ‘MSSQL$SONY_MEDIAMGR2’. If anyone can help me I’d greatly appreciate it.

If you don’t need Media Manager, turn it off.

How do I turn it off? I clicked on it in the view bar and the check mark went away, but I get the same message when I start it again.

Ok, I just uninstalled Media Manager and it seemed to work better, but ended up freezing again.

I am having lots of freezing issues as well. See my post below. (Unfortunately, no one seemed to have any advice to offer). Try disabling your virus protection. That helped my issue somewhat, but not completely.
