product suggestion for AJA on the Kona and IO
This is not an original idea, as Blackmagic has wised up to this, and “allegedly” will release this feature on the Multibridge Studio as well.
You see COUNTLESS problems posted on EVERY FORUM, including both AJA forums on black reference issues, and the problems relating to this. How about sticking a COLOR BLACK OUTPUT on the next generation of product – both Kona (K box) and IO. This forum (and the others) makes it appear that this is the #1 thing that people are unwilling to buy, yet cause countless problems (even though they apparantly have the money to buy an HD VTR). I hate to hurt Horita, etc., but the unwillingness to purchase a cheap black generator is just staggering, and it would resolve so many of AJA’s tech support “non issues”.

I have a better idea.
Why not disable all future products from operating at all unless a black burst reference is connected.
Force the morons who don’t get it to “GET IT or else”.

Ok obviously I don’t “get it”. What problems exactly does a black burst generator aleviate.
