Hi. I just started playing with the demo version of Producer. It’s opening my older M100 project files just fine. The only problem is when I try to open an old CG – I get a message saying “could not edit the composition because the boris composite suite filter plugin was not found” and I’m advised to make sure the plugin is installed in the Filters folder. I can’t find the plugin (although I did find a Graffiti 4.0 Filter in the graphics folder). Also, where is this filters folder located?

    Thanks for any help.

What do you mean by “old” CG? From Pre-Graffiti days? Can you create new Graffiti titles?

HI Floh. I created the titles using Red 3.0 – sorry I didn’t include that bit of info. Perhaps the fact that they were created in Red instead of Graffiti is causing some difficulty.

Yes. You cannot edit RED titles in Graffiti.

Makes sense. I guess if I get Producer Suite with Red included that I will be able to edit the “older” titles.

Or, if you want to test it, get the Red trial version. You should be able to install it for Producer.

I’ll do that. Thanks, Floh, once again.

Hi again. One last question: if I want to export a self contained file that I can then open in my Media100i, what should my settings be? On the “i” I normally work at 200kb, 4:3, NTSC, 720×486, 7.5 IRE. I tried this yesterday but when I imported the clip it required rendering.

You should “upgrade” to Media 100 i V8.2.3a, which should fix your rendering problem (as long as you work in Media 100 i codec in Producer and you export as self-contained).

Thanks. I have 8.2.3a. I’ll go back and take a look at my Producer settings.
