    Hello,
I received a project today from another Avid. I don’t know what kind, info not available. I got their media(from OMFI folder) as well. Now the problem I am having is when I open their project and try to look at it on my client monitor (via Mojo), all I get is either black or some kind of disturbance, wavy what ever. Can’t make out anything. I checked all my settings and all seem fine. The only way I can see anything on my client is if I open the bins with all the footage in another or new project. Does anyone know why this is, why when I open their project I see nothing on output, but see it when opened through another?
    thanks

Their origional project settings maybe creating a problem, especially if they were using older hardware. But if you can see the media then you should be able to work around… check through their project rather than your site/user settings.

If their media appears in the media tool, have a look at stats and check resolution, file type..mxf/omf etc etc, it may have some clues and then come back for nore..

What you’re describing kind of sounds like it you may be viewing PAL footage in an NTSC project, or vice versa. I know that whenever I feed a PAL signal to our Adrenaline in an NTSC project it does just that.
