Problems with Log & Capture in Final Cut Pro 4.5
I have been using FCP4.5 with a G4 Laptop quite successfully for quite sometime. However today
I tried to capture some video from a SONY Digital8 Handycam, something I have done many times
before. However I find that I can capture only about 30 seconds of video before I get a “dropped
frames” problem — this has not happened to me before.I am using 0SX10.4.9, and I gather from earlier threads that there is a software between this
OS and FCP4.5. I would be grateful if someone would confirm this. My last successful log and capture
was about 2 months ago — did the 10.4.9 update come out since then? I generally update the software
as it comes out, and I don’t keep careful track of what was updated when.To fix this, I gather that my only option is to go back to 10.4.8. Is that correct?

Does anyone have an opinion as to whether Apple might make a patch for this problem??? Or should I just reinstall Tiger (which I would rather not do)?
