    Hey!

I was wondering if any of you could help me with a slight problem I have. I have been given a “JVC Everio GZ-MG135AA” camcorder for a project.

Basically, the camcorder captures the footage as a “*.mod” file, which FCP does not recognise. What do I do to make it work in FCP? Do I need to convert it to a different file format? or would I need a 3rd party codec/plugin?

    Thank you in advance =]

You’ll have to try diffent tools like QuickTime, AE, Squeeze, Stomp, etc. See which opens it.. then save out in another format…. for the record… don’t use cameras that don’t record in real formats.
