    Problems with DVxpress and P800 firewire

    Video overrun, capture aborted.

    I use a p800 64 bit pci card Lacie.
    Standard Dell PC, Avid solution with dvexpress 3.5

    Soho Raid 0+1 582Gb which only have P800 FW.

    The strange part is that if I chain my raid through a Lacie BigDisk with P400, capture works.
    But when the SoHo raid is connected straight to the pc with P800 cable, capture fails???

    Hi,
    There is an issue with Windows and 1394b – firewire 800. Go to this link for the full details:

    Avid does not yet support firewire 800 last I checked.

    Correction:
    Firewire 800 on PC platforms, not sure about MAC.
